IN THE EASY CARE CATEGORY, THIS PLANT REALLY SHINES

The Zamioculcas, ZZ Plant or Zanzibar Gem is a member of the aroid family. This stemless evergreen typically grows 2 to 3 feet tall, and will reward you in summer with yellow, bronze and brown blooms.

Indoors or out, the ZZ prefers partial to full shade. It’s drought resistant, so easy does it with the watering. Happily, the ZZ Plant is known to purify indoor air by getting rid of volatile organic compounds. When handling, please use gloves, as needle-like crystals on the plant’s exterior may cause contact irritation. Lastly, if you have the ZZ Plant on your porch, be sure to bring it inside when temperatures dip below 60 degrees.
