Description
A Mass of Purple Flowers Announce the Coming of Spring
Hard to spell but easy to love, the highly ornamental Tabebuia Impetiginosa or Purple Trumpet Tree dazzles with pink/purple blossoms that herald Spring’s arrival. The Purple Trumpet is smaller than other Tabebuias, reaching about 18 ft. tall and 15 ft wide, so it’s a beautiful choice for smaller yards. It offers great summertime shade – you may want to put a garden bench underneath.
The Purple Trumpet prefers full sun to partial shade, and will thrive with regular watering. As it matures, you’ll be treated to even more flower clusters.

My neighbor said she bought a purple tabebuia in St Pete and I said that’s not same as the pink or yellow tabebuia. I know there are hybrid coral colored ones from Leu Gardens in Orlando. This looks like the leaf is not at all the same. Are they the same, or just related?
